Cargo Handling - Port of St Helier, Jersey
Roll on, Roll off (RoRo)
Solent Stevedores provide a twice-daily RoRo service at the Port of St Helier, Jersey to Condor Ferries from Portsmouth via two ramps at the Elizabeth Terminal, discharging perishable and non-perishable goods, mail to and from the Island and other items including export of the famous "Jersey Royal" potatoes and other local produce.
Solent Stevedores also handles bulk cargo including scrap metal and waste to energy products for Condor Ferries, the only RoRo operator on the island.
As space is limited at the Quayside, storage facilities are not available - incoming freight is collected on arrival by port customers and distributed by road directly as the ships arrive.
