Background:
You will be working with the team at the Solent Stevedores Cruise Terminal in the Port of Southampton.
There is one full time role available. This role is day shift, 45 hours a week and any 5 days from 7.
The site operates 7 days a week.

Main Duties:
- Support the Operations Manager/Supervisor with the day to day operation of cruise operations ensuring adherence to Company policies and ensuring the services provided are carried out in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.
- Assist with ensuring that all the site operations are carried out in accordance with the requirements of all statutory legislation, dock regulations, and Company operational and Health & Safety policies.
- Operate Various Plant Machinery in which certificated and competent to operate,
- To Include:
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck up to 16 Tonne,
- A1 A2 POEP,
- JCB Telehandler Small (J4),
- Cruise General Duties,
- Cruise Supervisor when required
- Banksman/ Hatchway man – Cranes and Plant Vehicles,
- Quayside Lorry/vehicle Marshalling.
- General cleaning /washing down on Quayside/Machines
- Report all accidents, incidents, near misses or potential hazards asap to line manager.
- Know all Fire and Emergency Procedures
- To be willing and flexible to work across other Solent Stevedores departments and locations as required.
- Work within the parameters of the Company Health and Safety Policy,
- Method Statements/Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments.
- Always wear appropriate 5point PPE whist on site.
- Any other duties as required from time to time by the Company.
Requirements:
- An excellent knowledge of cruise operations including an awareness and preferably experience in the supply chain.
- Self-motivated, flexible approach to work; disciplined and organised, a decision maker.
- Excellent health & safety awareness.
- The ability to use initiative and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrable experience of working with customers and staff
- Comply to all Dockside Regs /SSW/RA / M/S, Company H+S Policy
- To be trained, competent and certificated for all plant/machinery that is operated/driven or and works/tasks carried out
- Restricted Area (RA) Identification Passes must always be worn and prominently displayed
