"With the departure of Bellissima tonight, I would like to extend my thanks to every single one of you in all operational teams involved not only in the past 4 days, but the previous years in the build up to the event. All teams reacted fantastically to quickly changing situations over the four days and got the vessel away on time and safely for her first cruise, which many of us thought wouldn’t be possible earlier today. Your team had to deal with crew members and MSC Senior Management onboard during difficult situations across the 4 days and you did the best you could to help MSC.

"I really think that a massive thank you must go out to Paul and Justin for their hard work during Caribbean Princess turnaround on 11th July. In the end the ship was just under three hours late and I have never seen so much teamwork, desire and passion to really turnaround a negative situation into a positive. The baggage offload took just under one hour and all the staff on duty this day must be thanked, all worked extremely hard and it really was a pleasure to see.

"The ship was ready to depart on schedule at 16:00hrs which was a huge result albeit we did not sail till 18:00hrs, but this was nothing to do with the operation.

Cages were organised and sorted quayside, loaded as requested and up to the decks quickly. As you know, we frequently have passports packed in bags which can take 90mins - 2 hours to find, last Friday, 20 mins max due to the organisation quayside."
