The Terminal opened in May 2017 following an extensive £5 million infrastructure and equipment upgrade carried out in partnership between Solent Stevedores and Port owners, Associated British Ports. The result was a vastly improved service offering to the industry, with train turnaround times more than halved – from 4 hours to 90 minutes. This achievement was recognised in the RFG ‘Project of the Year’ award.

In May 2019, a further £1 million infrastructure investment was completed, upgrading and lengthening the terminal’s sidings and points, which now enables two 645m container trains to be worked on simultaneously

Closed from 1200 Saturday until 0600 Mondays.
