Ready for a return of Cruise

OCT 2020

Alongside our port and cruise partners, we have been eagerly awaiting news on the next steps to welcome the safe return of cruise.

Since lock down, our support for cruise lines has continued, with passenger repatriation and stores loading and unloading at the Port of Southampton.

It has been hard seeing these magnificent ships coming into the port without their passengers excited for the adventures that their cruise holiday has in store for them. We have continued to work hard to establish a safe and secure way of ensuring that when the time is right for cruise to restart, we are ready to ensure that passenger luggage and stores can be loaded with our teams' safety at the heart of our operations.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming the bustling excitement from passengers back to the terminals and playing a vital part in the behind-the-scenes operations to ensure their cruise starts smoothly. We welcome the Framework released by the Chamber of Shipping and further discussions with the wider cruise industry on their next steps.
